ON THE GROUND IN SOUTH AFRICA

Free therapy for children with Down syndrome, under 6

In many parts of South Africa, therapy for a young child with Down syndrome is simply out of reach — public systems are stretched, insurance rarely covers it, and distance or cost can mean missing the most critical window for a child's development. We provide free physiotherapy, speech therapy and developmental support for children under six, for as long as their family needs it.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Onward and Upward

At the September Institute, our mission is to empower children with intellectual disabilities across South Africa, ensuring they have the support and opportunities they need to thrive.‍

Through our innovative programs and comprehensive resources, we’re dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential. We also understand the critical role that parents and caregivers play in this journey. That's why we offer a range of tools and support to equip them in fostering their child's growth and development.
